Sliding bevels allow angles to be copied and transferred to wood, making it easier to mark out angled cuts and joints in joinery and carpentry.

The adjustable blade adapts to the desired angle and can be locked in position to repeat the marking on other pieces. They are particularly useful when an existing angle needs to be reproduced without the need to know its value in degrees.
