Bevel Angle Gauge for Chisels and Gouges – Kirschen

Description

Measuring tool designed to check the sharpening angle of chisels, carving gouges, and planer irons.

Made of stainless steel, it allows you to quickly check if the blade angle matches the desired value during the sharpening process. Slightly rounded edges help protect the tool during the check.

It includes four common angles used in woodworking tools, allowing you to adjust the thread according to the type of wood and the type of tool.

The markings are laser-engraved, ensuring clear and long-lasting readability even after frequent use.

The circular opening at the end of the grooves prevents the blade from directly touching the ruler during checking, helping to protect the tool's edge. The larger opening at the end can also be used as a bottle opener.

Angles included:

  • 17 degrees: suitable for softwood and carving gouges.
  • 20 degrees: suitable for medium-hardness wood
  • 25 degrees: a common angle for chisels and recommended for hardwood.
  • 27 degrees: suitable for very hard woods.
