Cabinet Scraper No. 80 70 mm – Faithfull

The No. 80 cabinet scraper is a traditional tool used to remove very fine wood chips , allowing you to achieve an extremely smooth finish on the surface of the piece.

It is particularly useful for smoothing knots, uneven grain, cross grain, and removing old finishes in large areas. Unlike abrasives such as sandpaper, the scraper removes material without producing dust that could clog the wood's axis.

The blade, 70 mm wide and 1.8 mm thick , is mounted in a gray cast iron body with a machined base , ensuring stability and precision. The wing-shaped side handles allow for comfortable use even for extended periods.

The cutting depth can be adjusted from a more aggressive cut to a fine finish by turning the serrated screw , which slightly curves the blade and detaches it from the base of the scraper.

The blade can be easily resharpened with a sharpening stone , subsequently creating the burr with a burnisher .
