Curved Drawknife – Kirschen
Description
A pull knife with a curved blade and two wooden handles , used for controlled wood removal in traditional carpentry and joinery work.
This tool is frequently used for peeling logs, adjusting beams, and working with solid wood pieces , and is also useful in restoration and rehabilitation work on wooden structures.
The pull knife should be used by pulling the blade towards the user , never pushing it. If the blade gets stuck in the wood, it should be removed by pulling the tool back along the cut .
The blade has an approximate thickness of 4 to 4.5 mm at the base of the bevel , offering robustness and stability during work. The factory sharpening angle is 25° , suitable for soft to medium wood. For harder woods or more demanding work, the angle can be adjusted up to 35° .
The two wooden handles provide a firm and balanced grip , allowing you to control the tool during grinding.
