8″ Dovetail Saw Beech – Lynx
Description
Precision saw designed for joinery work , especially for making dovetails and other fine cuts .
This model from the Lynx line is manufactured in Sheffield, England , following the tradition of the historic brand E. Garlick & Son , founded in 1858.
The blade is made of alloy spring steel , offering good flexibility and durability. The rigid, folded brass back provides stability to the blade, allowing for controlled and precise cuts.
The handle is made of dyed steam-treated beechwood , secured with brass-plated screws , providing a comfortable and secure grip during work.
The saw is available in two types of teeth:
Rip Cut – for cuts along the grain of the wood.
Crosscut – for cuts that are transverse to the axis.
Like traditional Sheffield saws, the blade can be resharpened throughout its lifespan .
