Tenon Saw 12″ Beech

Tenon Saw Lynx – beech handle _ Clifton

Description

A stiff-backed saw designed for joinery work , particularly suitable for cutting tenons, mortise and tenon shoulders, and other precision cuts .

This model from the Lynx line is manufactured in Sheffield, England , following the tradition of the historic brand E. Garlick & Son , founded in 1858.

As with traditional Sheffield saws, the blade can be resharpened throughout its lifespan with a suitable file.

Supplied in a branded, recyclable cardboard box .

Note on the type of toothing

Rip Cut – a serrated blade designed to cut with the grain of the wood , ideal for mortise and tenon cuts.

Crosscut – a toothed blade designed to cut across the axis , providing cleaner cuts in this type of operation.
